Can’t wait for the new ICC/NAHB ICC700-2008 National Green Standard?  ICC has written an introduction, which is now at their bookstore (Product #1633S).   According to ICC, it “Introduces the soon-to-be available residential green building standard. The first and only true-consensus-based standard for residential green building will also be the first to be accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is currently pending ANSI review. This introductory guide, published by the International Code Council, also looks at the history, intent, organization and application of the standard.”

From New Building Institute’s website: Don’t miss Promise vs. Performance: A Deeper Shade of Green, published in the October edition of Architect Magazine, addresses the performance of LEED-rated buildings and explores the findings of NBI’s USGBC-commissioned report “Energy Performance of LEED for New Construction Buildings.”
