Adopting Above Code Programs – What it means to the Building Department

If your jurisdiction wants to implement above code programs such as LEED or NAHB Green Building Guidelines, this class is for you. Several popular programs will  be highlighted, showing how they were successfully implemented in other communities.

This 2 hour course focuses on the nuts and bolts of implementing and above code program, along with the potential costs, proven incentive strategies, and more.

Instructors Eric Makela and Michelle Britt are founding partners of Britt/Makela Group, Inc.  Eric has over  20 years of experience in  energy efficient construction. Michelle, a LEED AP, specializes  in land use, transportation and energy issues. .BMG offers training sessions nationwide on topics concerning energy efficient design, building codes, and above code programs to professionals in the building, architectural, and design industries.
